Chilli
1lb ground beef preferably 80% or higher (80% and lower is usually on sale somewhere)
2 packages McCormick chilli mix
2 cans kidney beans (store Brand)
2 cans dice tomatoes (store brand)
Opptional
1green pepper
1/2 medium onion
peperchini peppers
peper rings

In a stock pot, brown ground beef, while beef is browning chop peppers and onions. Drain the ground beef in a colonder and rinse with hot water, this takes even more fat out. Rinse the pot with hot water. Return beef to the pot add remaining ingredients. Bring to a light boil reduce heat and simmer until the kidney beans are soft and start to open. Stirring occasionally. Becareful that it doesnt stick.

The money savers with this one are using less meat. Yes you are still using one pound (who wants to make a small pot of chilly) but you double the beans and tomatoes. To stretch it even further you can serve it over rice.

Serve with a loaf of bread maybe some shredded cheddar on top. I use new york extra sharp store brand. This has more flavor so you can use less!!
